It is a sign of the times. Change is imminent and the dominance of power is likely to swing east. The 2008 Olympics will be held in China on a grand and spectacular scale. Preparations are already at hand from mascots and theme songs to the training for gold. No detail is left to chance as China awakens to its new role as a major economic player and a leader in the east. The torch, a culturally and historically rich symbol for the Olympic Games, will not only carry the flame of the Games but represent the spirit and passion of the Chinese in an international event. Thus, the design of the torch is not only technologically advanced but also culturally significant.

The superstitious Myanmar military has an abhorrence of contact with women’s panties because they believe women’s panties – thongs, sexy bikinis, or XL sized grandmother’s underwear – sap their strength.

In a campaign to protest the military crackdown on monks, women hit the testosterone-dominated army one below the belt. In a move that signified great insult, panties of various sizes and shapes were hurled at the Myanmar Embassy in UK, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines. One never knew panties had such power and could speak such great volumes.

The most remarkable 15th century mural painting created by the famous scientist cum artist Leornardo Da Vinci, The Last Supper (known as Cenacolo in Italian) is now available on the internet. An Italian digital imaging firm, HAL9000, has published a high-resolution image (16giga pixel) showing the scene of the last supper from the final days of Jesus as narrated in the Gospel of John 1:21, , when Jesus announces that one of his twelve disciples would betray him. The availability of this mural will give conspiracy theorists to make a detailed analysis and to find out the mysterious hiding behind.
