Philips marked the 25th anniversary to manufacture the first Compact Disc (CD) on 17thAugust, 1982 and it ushered the world a new era of digital music. If history is any guide, its life span is due at least as commercial music medium and soon to replace by digital MP3 downloads or the upcoming IPod and many more of hard drive players.

Remember the day when one was exciting own CD players and CDs of their favourite artists, it made a big difference in the music quality compared to its predecessor, the cassette tape. Music were never be the same again to its crisp music, ease of recording and storage copies, and making Digital Rights Management to get a strong foothold of its sale amount more than 200 billion music discs have been sold worldwide.

An exemplary loyalty shown by an Akita breed dog in Japan named Hachiko who was born on 10th November, 1923 had been waiting 11 years for its master’s return from work at railway station even though his master died in 1925.

In Japan, the dog who was known as忠犬 ハチ公 (chūken hachikō, lit. ‘faithful dog Hachikō’) was brought to Tokyo by its Master, a professor in agricultural department at the University of Tokyo. The dog did the routine of greeted him at the front dog before he left for work and even waited for him at the railway station for his return to home. Even though his master died a year later in 1925, Hachiko continued to wait for its master until its death in 1935. What’s a sad ending for Hachiko’s unwavering loyalty.

Italian defender Materazzi finally revealed the truth of world cup 2006 Zidane head-butt infamous incident. Forget about the Materazzi: “It is absolutely not true, I did not call him a terrorist… I’m ignorant. I don’t even know what the word means.” or according to an Italian lip-reader: “I wish an ugly death to you and all your family. Go f*** yourself!”

Materazzi insult won Italian a world cup by provoking Zidane to head butted him in the chest with 10 minutes left in the game, and Zidane was given a red card to be sent off the field. Italy went on to win the game with penalty shoot-out after 1-1 extra time.

Now, Materazzi revealed the insult in his soon to be released autobiography but refused to elaborate in length, only after his book will to release officially. Zidane didn’t speak much about the incident except he said that Marco Materazzi insulted his family. Marco Materazzi finally revealed the truth of what he said, “I prefer the whore that is your sister.’

The storyline goes like Materazzi grabbed Zidane’s shirt, and Zindane told Materazzi that if he wanted his shirt he could have it after the game. It was at that moment that Materazzi said that he would rather have “his whore that is your sister.”

Mattel’s public statement of “Voluntarily Recall Some of Our Toys” in the midst of recalling 19 million Chinese-Made toys in US because of products affected by:
1) Lead Paint: – Fisher-Price and “CARS” Sarge Character
2) Magnets: – Polly Pocket Play Sets, Batman Magna Play Sets, Barbie and Tanner Accessory, Doggie Daycare Play Sets and Shonan Jump’s One Piece.

The incident is the name of safety standard. The west is increasingly seeing Chinese-made products as dangerous and customers are starting to boycott Chinese-made products. But who is at fault or liable as Mattel and the Chinese contractor are already playing damage control and shifting blame. The list goes on to it is because of outsourcing cost saving to cheap labour in China and forgetting the long supplier chains of manufacturing standards and who’s asleep at the stringent quality control requirement. However, at consumer level, you can go to either to retailer or even to owner of the product to pursue the law of product safety standard. Even if a third party was totally negligent, what comes out from the store to market is all Mattel’s problem. This is because if products are in breach of standards and the more for those unsafe toys are the bane of the industry.
