Philips marked the 25th anniversary to manufacture the first Compact Disc (CD) on 17thAugust, 1982 and it ushered the world a new era of digital music. If history is any guide, its life span is due at least as commercial music medium and soon to replace by digital MP3 downloads or the upcoming IPod and many more of hard drive players.

Remember the day when one was exciting own CD players and CDs of their favourite artists, it made a big difference in the music quality compared to its predecessor, the cassette tape. Music were never be the same again to its crisp music, ease of recording and storage copies, and making Digital Rights Management to get a strong foothold of its sale amount more than 200 billion music discs have been sold worldwide.

Dog, Hachiko Faithfully Waiting 11 Years for its Master at Railway Station

An exemplary loyalty shown by an Akita breed dog in Japan named Hachiko who was born on 10th November, 1923 had been waiting 11 years for its master’s return from work at railway station even though his master died in 1925.

In Japan, the dog who was known as忠犬 ハチ公 (chūken hachikō, lit. ‘faithful dog Hachikō’) was brought to Tokyo by its Master, a professor in agricultural department at the University of Tokyo. The dog did the routine of greeted him at the front dog before he left for work and even waited for him at the railway station for his return to home. Even though his master died a year later in 1925, Hachiko continued to wait for its master until its death in 1935. What’s a sad ending for Hachiko’s unwavering loyalty.

Motorcyclist Does Not Notice His Leg Fell Off

A 54-year-old Japanese man was riding motorbike together with a group of friends in Hamamast, Tokyo. He accidentally hit the safety fence at a corner. The cyclist felt painful at his leg but did not realize that his leg fell off from the knee down after hitting the safety fence. He still continued riding until he stopped at the next destination.

There is no safe place in this world today, even the school is not safe for students and they need protection from school violence. A Massachusetts company My Child’s Pack is offering a school bag, it’s not your usual school bag, it is a bulletproof backpack. The backpack stops 97% of all bullets used and it is selling at $175 in US.

Two Massachusetts fathers Mike Pelonzi and Joe Curran who wanted to keep their kids safe at school, spent nearly a decade working on a lightweight bulletproof backpack that would protect children from gunshots. The backpack’s panel weights about 2 pounds, about the weigh of a bottle of water.

Mother Sentenced for Posing as Her Daughter-in-law

A 47-year-old woman Rebecca Crowe was sentenced to 30 days in jail because she claimed herself as her daughter-in-law. The woman’s son Christopher Crowe, 25, was in court to plead guilty to four felony counts. When the judge asked whether Christopher Crowe’s wife agreed with the plea deal during hearing, Rebecca Crowe stood up, claimed herself as her son’s wife and said she agreed with the plea agreement.

Man Purposely Pays Big Tax Bill in Coins and $1 Bills

A man was asked to pay tax amounting to $12,656.07 but he was not satisfied with the big amount of money he had to pay. He wanted people to see the pain of his property tax bill and let them see the physical amount of $12,656.07, he then settled his tax bill of the semi-annual payment for his home, business and rental properties, in coins and $1 bills to the county treasurer’s office.
