Close to one thousand Thais applied for just only 500 positions to volunteer to test condoms meant for customer satisfaction in return for free condoms supply. This is part of Durex condom campaign to promote safe sex as can be seen from the above picture showing mascot of Durex condom.

Durex marketing officer said. “We are surprised to see huge interest in our campaign with almost 1,000 applicants wanting to take part.” No educational qualification is necessary but the volunteers must be over twenty years of age in order to take part.

The wholesome idea of the campaign is to promote Durex’s public concern and contribution to the country increasing numbers of HIV/AIDS infected Thais while giving them a break to enjoy theirs favourite pastime and know what a healthy handy Durex condom can do for them.

In conjunction with forthcoming mooncake festival, ten Chinese cooks spent about ten hours to make a 13-ton giant mooncakes. This is the biggest mooncake ever made by a super food market in Shenyang, China.

The giant mooncake was measured at 8.15 meters in diameter of 8.15 meters and height of 20 cm, has a total surface area of 52 square meters. It has ten types of different flavored stuffings, including white lotus seeds, red bean paste and pineapple.

A China Airlines flown from Taiwan to Okinawa, Japan exploded but all on board 165 passengers including pilot escaped alive. Passengers used inflated emergency slides to evacuate minutes while the bravest pilot was the last just seconds left to jump out of the cockpit before the plane burst into fireballs.

The aircraft skidded on the tarmac on its way from the runway to the gate after landing, the fire started when the left engine exploded after the aircraft entered the parking spot.

A hero cat saves a life from fire… The Capri Mobile Home Park on U.S. Highway 19 was on fire this morning. The fire started from a mobile home that was staying by a man, then the fire spread to other mobile homes. The man living in the mobile home that first caught fire said his cat alerted him when his house was on fire and because of his cat, he was able to get out from the fire scene safely.

A California family managed to cut their electricity bill from around $700 to $15 comparing the bills for the same month in year 2006 and 2007. The secret of how they cut their whopping electricity bill down is the Keating’s pool, one of the big green changes the family made.

First, solar panels heat the pool and pumped the water to the flat panels on the roof, then pushed back through tiny tubes. “It’s almost the equivalent of the garden hose sitting in your yard. Turn on the faucet and hot water comes out,” the solar expert Graham Owen explained.
