Screenwriter, Adam Sussman: “I wanted to write something about the dead reconnecting with the living. Nothing was really clicking until I came across scientifically documented cases of very young children who had spontaneous memories of things and people and places that they could never possibly have known about. After doing more research and reading about the memories and stories that these children were accessing, I found that usually there was violence involved; a life had been cut short – and there was a reason for the return.”

The return is about a new supernatural thriller starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as Joanna Mills, a tough young Midwesterner determined to learn the truth behind the increasingly terrifying supernatural visions that have been haunting her. This movie offers something different. The film is described as a terrifying story about being haunted. The haunting is set in motion in a unique manner; and neatly tucked into the tale is a story about a woman on a journey of self-discovery.

It was reported that Kumi Koda is Japan’s biggest pop icon last year with an amazing 12.7 billion yen in sales from releasing 12 singles, a greatest hits album and a DVD last year. She receives the Oricon Award for Highest Sales by a Japanese Artist in 2006.

Born in November 13, 1982, she was the first girl born to the Koda family in a number of generations. She has strong support from her grandfather who taught her Japanese bamboo flute and her mother who taught Japanese harp. She practised classical Japanese dance at the age of three. She started as professional singer in 2000 with her first single, Take Back. However it was not a success that time. She only started to become really popular in Japan in the year 2005, from her singles compilation album named “BEST ~first things~”. In this album, each song moves in chronological order from her debut single “Take Back” to her last single “Star”, aside from the first track “No Tricks”.

Ang Lee is producing his latest movie now, “Lust, Caution”. The story is adapted from a novel by the late Chinese writer Eileen Chang. It will be an espionage thriller set in world war 2 era in Shanghai, centering around Mr. Yee, a powerful political figure and Wang Jia-zhi, the young woman who gets swept up in a dangerous game of emotional intrigue with him.

History is a controversial issue in East Asia today.

The Yomiuri Shimbun, the largest daily paper in Japan, with a right of center editorial position, has recently completed a year-long project to clarify Japanese leaders’ responsibility for the Pacific War. Such an undertaking is very rare in Japan.

Why did the Yomiuri launch this campaign? To what extent was its conclusion different from the judgments of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East? How was it accepted by
Japanese?

Takahiko Tennichi earned his B.L. at the Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo and his M.A. at The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University. He began his career at Yomiuri in 1981 as a staff writer and later served as deputy editor of the Cultural News Department. He became an Editorial Writer in 2003.
