Memorysolution is preparing to launch a trio of Plug & Play, ‘high speed’ Maxflash USB flash drives to its range. This USB flash drive will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, each drive measure at 73 x 27 x 9 (mm), and weight over 15 grams. It’s provide a reading speed up to 30MB/sec and writing speed up to 20MB/sec.

Samsung First to Begin Mass Production 2Gb DDR3 Using 40nm Class Technology

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world leader in advanced memory technology, announced that it has begun mass producing the industry’s first 2Gb DDR3 devices using 40 nanometer (nm) class process technology. Samsung says, moving to a 40nm process technology will increase in production productivity by 60% compared to 50 nm process.

iLuv Launching earbud/ mic for iPhone, iPod shuffle

iLuv has unveils two in-ear headphone sets that cater for Apple owners. The higher-end iEP515 and basic iEP315 both are primarily treated as upgrades for the iPhone 3GS with an in-line remote and microphone in addition to passive noise reduction through its design. Their controls are also supported on the third-generation iPod shuffle, second-generation iPod classic and fourth-generation iPod nano as well as the iPod touch, where the microphone also works.

Microsoft Pulls Gross-Out Ad for Internet Explorer 8

The latest Web video ads for Internet Explorer 8 called O.M.G.I.G.P.– oh my God! I’m gonna puke–has been pulled from all Microsoft and third-party video Web sites–including the dedicated IE8 site, Browser for the Better.

It looks like the image of a woman who couldn’t stop vomiting after inadvertently viewing hardcore pornography on her husband’s computer was too controversial or subversive for Microsoft. The ads were developed by the Indiana-based advertising firm Bradley and Montgomery and were directed by, interestingly enough, standup comedian Bobcat Goldthwait.
