The Malaysia’s former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim exposed a video showing a senior lawyer VK Lingam talking to the Malaysia Chief Justice Tun Ahmad Fairus Abdul Halim and the content of the conversation involved a conspiracy to influence the appointment of senior judges and pervert the cause of justice. The video was exposed by the most controversial and charismatic figure in Malaysian politics, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in a press conference. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim commented that this video managed to prove that his appeals against his sodomy and abuse of power convictions were tainted and that he was denied a proper and fair trial.
