Guru, the latest movie directed by Mani Ratnam is scheduled to be released on January 12, 2007. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan and Vidya Balan. The movie also stars Mithun Chakraborty in a supporting role and Mallika Sherawat in a cameo role. The movie will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu.
The filming took place in Turkey, and Badami, Karnataka as well as in Chennai and Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Legendary A. R. Rahman composes the film’s musical score and soundtrack.

TVB highest earning artist for 2006

It was reported that actress Charmaine Sheh has the highest earning as a TVB artist of the year. She makes HK$7.2 million in 2006 from her TVB contract, TV commercials and as special guest for various events.
Second on the list is actress Bernice Liu, who makes HK$6 million.
Third is Roger Kwok with HK$5.3 million.
Forth is actress Gigi Lai and fifh is actor Kevin Cheng.

Chiang Mai is a city in north Thailand. It is well known as a city which is saturated with evidences of an age-old civilisation. There are lots of archaeological sites, ancient temples, shimmering pagodas, and time-weathered city walls which leads to giving Chiang Mai its exotic connotation.
One of Chiang Mai’s great tourist attractions period falls in February every year. It is the annual flower carnival which attracts international visitors along with the locals. Early February is the perfect time for this festival because of the climate conditions during this period. The cool of the winter allows the cultivation of not only exotic tropical flowers, such as orchids, but also blooms like carnations,roses and chrysanthemums. Throughout the years, as Chiang Mai became more widely known for its magnificent array of floral beauty, it eventually gained the title of ‘The Rose of the North’.

The one year modelling contract is said to be worth W1-1.5billions dollars. The shooting for the print and broadcast ads will take place this month in Los Angeles. It was mentioned that Paris was chosen because of her sophisticated style which matches Fila’s image.

Kumi Koda – Japan’s biggest pop icon

It was reported that Kumi Koda is Japan’s biggest pop icon last year with an amazing 12.7 billion yen in sales from releasing 12 singles, a greatest hits album and a DVD last year. She receives the Oricon Award for Highest Sales by a Japanese Artist in 2006.
Born in November 13, 1982, she was the first girl born to the Koda family in a number of generations. She has strong support from her grandfather who taught her Japanese bamboo flute and her mother who taught Japanese harp. She practised classical Japanese dance at the age of three. She started as professional singer in 2000 with her first single, Take Back. However it was not a success that time. She only started to become really popular in Japan in the year 2005, from her singles compilation album named “BEST ~first things~”. In this album, each song moves in chronological order from her debut single “Take Back” to her last single “Star”, aside from the first track “No Tricks”.
