The 26-year-old entrepreneur beauty queen from Texas, Crystle Stewart, crowned Miss USA 2008 on the 57th Miss USA beauty pageant, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 11, 2008. Crystle Stewart runs a party-planning and motivational speaking company, and she is also a model.


The beauty pageant was held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts, about 7,000 audiences witnessed the moment when Crystle Stewart was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. This is the first time in Miss USA history that two consecutive women of African-American decent have been crowned.


Crystle Stewart will represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant which will be held in Vietnam.
