The famous Hong Kong TVB’s veteran actress and comedian Lydia Sum 沈殿霞 (a.k.a. Feifei 肥肥) has passed away at the age of 60 at Queen Mary Hospital early morning, Feb. 19, 2008, due to her long accumulated sickness.

She had been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. She was admitted and discharged from hospitals for several times in these two years.

In 2002, she admitted for an inflammation of her bile duct and 36 gallstones were extracted.

She was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, and had part of her liver removed.

Lydia just accepted the TVB Grand Award on the 40th TVB Anniversary Awards ceremony in November, 2007.

Though we can’t accept this news at the moment but for sure all of us will remember her forever, especially her signature wig and black plastic-framed glasses.
