If somebody tells you that if you are lucky enough, you might make your fortune from a flea market, then you have to believe them sometimes. This incident happened to a Berlin student. She bought a second-hand sofa bed from a flea market and made her fortune from the old furniture. Guess what? She found a baroque painting, which fetched around 19,200 euros ($27,660) in Hamburg, hidden inside the couch!

The second-hand couch cost the student only 150 euros when she bought it from an auction house. The student thence sold it for 16,000 euros. According to experts, the baroque painting, titled “Preparations for the flight to Egypt,” was painted between 1605 and 1610 by an unknown artist with ties to the Venetian painter, Carlo Saraceni.
