A new fashion leather bikini made from skins of fish was displayed on a fashion show in Thailand. A Thai designer used the skin of Tilapia fish that is usually thrown away, to make fish skin bikini – Fishkini. The Tilapia fish is often eaten with noodle soup and its skin is usually thrown away.

However, Tilapia’s skin is durable, waterproof and non-elastic which is a perfect material for making bikinis.

The Tilapia’s skin is also used to make handbags and wallets in Thailand as shown in the pictures below. In fact, many products that made from leather can be replaced by using Tilapia’s skins. The advantages of the fish skin are that it can easily be dyed any color and sown into any shape.
