ym1aInternet giant Yahoo is rolling out upgraded free email service which allows sending instant text messages from computers to mobile phones.

And yet it doesn’t charge a cent at all but only fees charged by phone carriers which provide the services. Yahoo spokesman said. “My mother now instant messages through mail to my children. She can send messages to my son while he is at soccer practices; he carries his mobile phone everywhere.”

To compete with rivals email platform such as Gmail, Hotmail and more as well as its advertising revenues, the upgraded service includes faster service and allows instant message conversations for using Microsoft’s Window Live Messenger Service.

Added value is much more than keeping up with competitors besides from value for money concept from consumer’s point of view.
