China is promoting the awareness of AIDS and has ordered all hotels, holiday resorts and public showers to provide condoms to their clients as part of nationwide efforts to fight the spread of AIDS. Other than this order, the regulation issued by the commerce and health ministries also required them to display pamphlets about AIDS prevention.

Few hotels and bars in Zhejiang were fined for not providing condoms in March.

This action seems to be started late but is a good start to overcome the problem as health experts have warned the virus is now moving into the general population. As a conservative country like China, sex education knowledge is very limited and people are not willing to talk about sex, therefore awareness of AIDS to the Chinese is very important.
