TVB and CCTV had a joint venture in producing a drama together called “The Drive of Life”, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to China. Hong Kong was return to China in 1997.

The drama will be aired in China starting from 1st July and in Hong Kong from 16th July. TVB organised a special premier event for this last week and some cast members were present included Charmaine Sheh, Jessica Hsuan, Myolie Wu, Sheren Tang, Damian Lau, Michael Miu and Raymond Lam.

Charmaine Sheh wore a sponsored designer outfit by Giorgio Armani at the event. The sequinned outfit was very heavy for her and she had to becareful in her movement.

Sheren Tang wore a chipao for the event . She said “I am quite alternative and I do love Chinese goods. I am tying in with the theme of the handover.” Sheren also said that a person’s value is not in their outfit and although her dress only cost a few hundred dollars, the quality of the material and the cut was good.

This drama will be a 60-episodes mega series and the series are star studded with Damien Lau, Gigi Wong, Jessica Hsuan, Raymond Lam, Charmaine Sheh, Joe Ma, Sheren Tang, Myolie Wu, Michael Miu, Michael Wong, Ron Ng, Toby Leung with popular mainland stars such as Liu Ging Sang, Feng Shao Feng and best newcomer Zhao Ke.
