Amsterdam, the capital of Holland, is famous in Europe for its red light district and it is also one of the famous sin places for male. Nevertheless, the whole red light district might be closed down by the government.

Recently the police has clamped down on the vice activities. The licenses for 33 clubs operating in the red light district were terminated by the government under a “Bibob Operation”. The Bibob Operation was introduced in 2003 and the main purpose is to attack the criminal activities. The mayor of the city, Job Cohen, mentioned that this is an important trial to attack the criminal and vice activities. He was fully supported by the residents of Amsterdam. However, he was strongly opposed by the vice operators.
