king-of-teeth.jpg Which is the strongest part of your body? Your arms to lift things? Your legs to run fast? Your skull to protect you against bumps and crashes? For Rathakrishnan Velu, it’s his teeth. The Guinness World Record holder won the title for the Heaviest Weight Pulled With Teeth in 2003, using only his teeth to pull two train carriages with a combined weight of 260.8 tonnes over a distance of 4.2 km at the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station in Malaysia. At his country’s 50th National Day anniversary on 31 August 2007, he is going to attempt a new record by pulling three train carriages weighing a total of 300 tonnes with his bare teeth.

The King of Teeth claimed that his secret lies in a strict regime of healthy food, exercise, meditation, willpower and determination. He wakes up at 4.30 am, runs 20 km, does jaw training, carries weight up to 250 kg, maintains a consistent diet of 90% vegetables, and practises meditation every day. He drinks a special concoction of honey saffron in between his workouts.

Changing Face of Sex in Vietnam

Interesting Stuff

vietnam1.jpg The lovely but strait-laced traditional costume of Vietnamese women highlights the conservative and family-ruled values of this socialist country. But while the traditional costume is still donned for formal occasions, it is gradually being replaced by jeans, T-shirts, dresses and skirts in more casual settings. The female sex spearheads the change for they have gained wider independence, mobility and exposure due to the industrialization and rapid economic growth of the country.

Young couples now secretly live together before tying the knot, outside the knowledge of their families. They kiss, touch and cuddle at public parks in the shadows of the night. Generations live together in family-oriented Vietnam, so parks in cities become secret meeting places where young people can have privacy to enjoy each other’s company and a little caressing or touching of bodies.

Interesting Stuff

the-contraception-reception.jpg China, with a population of 1.3 billion, the largest in the world, embraces condoms in its fight against AIDS and HIV. Models wear extravagant dresses, wedding gowns, bikinis, and hats made from condoms and sashay through a stage filled with soap bubbles. The Beijing Fashion show sends out the message that condoms of all shapes and sizes are in.

In conservative and repressive China, the problem of AIDS was once ignored as a foreign disease blamed on Western decadence. As China awakens to the enormity and spread of AIDS amongst its general population, it changes its tune. This type of fashion show is usually seen in Paris or New York but Beijing has embraced it with glamour and style. Guili Latex Factory, the largest condom maker in China, organized the show.
