There are various versions of the origins of cheesecake. However, most of the studies showed that cheesecake originated in ancient Greece. History first recorded cheesecake as being served to athletes during the first Olympic Games held in 776 B.C. However, cheese-making can be traced as far back as 2,000 B.C., anthropologists having found cheese molds dating back to that period. Eventually, serving cheesecake has become a custom in ancient Greece. The bride would prepare cheesecake to serve to the bridegroom’s relatives during her wedding day.

Another reason to visit China
Interesting StuffChina has created another reason for tourist to visit its country. The country’s biggest nuclear power station has opened its doors to the public for the price of 30-yuan ($3.80).
The nuclear power plant is located by the South China Sea in southern Guangdong province. Tourists will be able to learn about its construction and safety measures through models, photographs, and videos. They will also have access to a Lovers’ Island, a wharf and a lookout point offering a “panoramic view” of Dayawan and Lingao, another nuclear plant being built nearby, the official Xinhua news agency said.

Highest Paid Hollywood Actress

Nicole Kidman became the highest paid Hollywood actresses in 2006 as reported in CNN, nudging Julia Roberts from the top spot for the first time in the last five years. This report was based on Hollywood Reporter’s annual survey.
Kidman was earning as much as $17million per movie, and ranked second on last year’s list. Julia Roberts did not make the list this year as she was spending time with her twins.

Hong Kong Singer Hacken married the former Miss Hong Kong Emily Lo

Finally one of the most eligible bachelors, Hacken Lee, has walked down the aisle with his loved one, Emily Lo Suk Yee. He was surrounded by his good friends and fellow artistes, Alan Tam, Simon Yam, Vivian Chow and Eric Tsang, who graced the event. Andy Lau was served as best man for Hacken.
The wedding was held on 28 November 2006 at the Inter-Continental Hotel
“This is our wedding day. Please bless us. As for our feelings today, they can be adequately described as ‘very happy,'” say by the happy bridegroom, Hacken.
