A tape that recorded the sex act of sex symbol Marilyn Monroe with an unknown man, was sold to a Manhattan businessman at $1.5 million.

The black-and-white film is 15 minute-long, recording Marilyn Monroe having oral sex with an unidentified man that was reportedly shot in the 1950s. The unidentified man’s head was not shown in the frame at all.

The unnamed businessman who has purchased the tape wants to protect Monroe’s privacy and would not share the tape on internet; the tape will be kept in private collections.

One of Monroe’s ex-husbands, former baseball star Joseph DiMaggio had offered $25,000 for this film before but the FBI informant who gave a copy of the tape to the FBI, refused the offer.

However, the informant’s son has sold his copy to the unnamed New York businessman. The only other known copy is in FBI files.
FBI director J. Edgar Hoover used the tape to analyze whether the unknown man in the film is U.S. President John F Kennedy who had an affair with Monroe.
