A 66-year-old Japanese jazz pianist Yosuke Yamashita, in firefighter’s protective gear, set fire to his grand piano as he played in front of 500 audiences on a beach in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on March 8, 2008.

The pianist performed for about ten minutes until the strings burnt and the piano went silent.

This was his second time to perform with a burning piano; he did the same performance thirty-five years ago when he played for a short film “Burning Piano.”
