teeth.jpg Dentals might find this interesting! Two molar teeth were unearthed in Pinilla del Valle, Madrid recently. What is so special about the two teeth? Guess what, the two molar teeth have about 63,400 years old and these two teeth show that Neanderthal predecessors of human may have cleaned their teeth thousands years ago!

The Paleontology Professor Juan Luis Asuargo revealed to reporters that these two teeth have “grooves formed by the passage of a pointed object, which confirms the use of a small stick for cleaning the mouth”.

The two molar teeth are well preserved. They are the first human examples found in the Madrid region in 25 years, the regional government’s culture department in Madrid said.
