Pop stars Justin Timberlake and Beyonce led the pop parade of nominees for the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards with seven nods apiece, which is set to take over the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas Sunday on September 9th.

Seven nominations from Justin Timberlake are: –

Male Artist of the Year
Most Earth Shattering Collaboration – pairing with timbaland for “sexy back”
Quadruple threat of the year – Jive Records/Zomba Label Group
Best Director – “What Goes Around … Comes Around”
Best Editing in a Video – “What Goes Around … Comes Around”
Best Choreography in a Video – “My Love”

Beyonce was nominated for: –
Video of the Year – “Irreplaceable”
Female Artist of the Year
Most Earth Shattering Collaboration – with Shakira “Beautiful Liar”
Quadruple Threat of the Year – Columbia Records
Best Director – Beyonce & Shakira “Beautiful Liar”
Best Editing in a Video – Beyonce & Shakira “Beautiful Liar”
Best Choreography in a Video – Beyonce & Shakira “Beautiful Liar”

It was followed by rapper Kanye West and Barbados Rihanna, both received five nominations; British singer Amy Winehouse got three nominations.

Timbaland, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Chris Brown, Foo Fighters and Rihanna are all scheduled to perform at the “2007 MTV Video Music Awards.”

Fans can vote online for the best new artist category. The remaining awards will be decided by a select music industry group.
