French Police found three lost paintings by Spanish painter Pablo Picasso. Three people were arrested on August 7, in possession the paintings stolen in February. The art thieves had taken the paintings from their frames and rolled them up.

The paintings, identified as “Maya a la poupee” (Maya with doll) from 1938 and “Portrait de femme, Jacqueline” from 1961, were stolen in February from the house of the Picasso’s granddaughter while she was sleeping.

“Maya a la poupee” is the picture of the artist’s daughter Maya and “Portrait de femme, Jacqueline” is the picture of his second wife Jacqueline; both paintings are estimated worth 50 million euros ($69 million).

Police also found another drawing by Picasso that had been stolen earlier but did not give further details.
