Two brothers as window washers were fell down from 47-story to the ground from Upper East Side apartment building in New York City; one man dead at the scene but his older brother survives.

Both of them have been working there for about three years. They were not wearing safety harnesses when performing the cleaning work. Their work platform gave way as they stepped onto it yesterday from the roof of the apartment building.

The survivor with critical injuries was sent to the hospital immediately after the incident.

The management of the building has issued a statement extending sympathy to their family. This incident is under the accident investigation and there is no further update on the condition of the injured worker.
