It is a rare enamel and diamond-set hunter case “tact” watch, made by Swiss watchmaker Abraham Louis Breguet around 1790. It was sold to Josephine Bonaparte in 1800 and she added the diamonds in 1804 after Napoleon was crowned Emperor of France.

The price sold was seven times more than its pre-auction estimate. However, the auction house did not reveal the information of the buyer.
