No more advertisement for push-up bras, figure-enhancing underwear and sex toys to be advertised on television and radio in China. The government has banned the ads that they deemed social pollution.

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) also bans ads for sexual aids like tonics that can boost performance when having sex.

SARFT said in a notice on the administration’s website: “Illegal ‘sexual medication’ advertisements and other harmful ads pose a grave threat to society.

“They not only seriously mislead consumers, harm the people’s health, pollute the social environment, and corrupt social mores, but also directly harm the credibility of public broadcasting and affect the image of the Communist party and the government.”

Television shows about cosmetic surgery and sex changes, and talent show that they deemed coarse were banned too.
