Very soon the Korean don’t need to queue at the counter at McDonald’s restaurant for ordering food as one of its outlets in Korea is implementing ordering via mobile phone. This branded fast food company is working with Korean telco SK Telecom to implement their “Touch Order” system.

Customers are to plug a customized RFID device on the tables in the restaurant, into their mobilel phones. They can then browse the menu, and press a button to confirm order. Customers will be notified by an SMS once the food is ready.

I believe there are still many people prefer to order the food verbally instead of using handphone, just like me.

No information on how to make payment but I guess the customers are to pay at counter when to get their food. Then queue again?
