Jennifer Lopez Wins $545,000 from Ex-husband

The 38-year-old singer-actress Jennifer Lopez won $545,000 in the lawsuit against her ex-husband Ojani Noa who tried to publish a book to tell everything about their relationship.
Jennifer Lopez married Ojani Noa in 1997 but their marriage only last 11 months. In January 2006, Ojani Noa revealed that he planed a book to describe the details about their marriage, titled “The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Thriller”.
Jennifer Lopez filed a lawsuit against Ojani Noa in June 2006 to block the publication of the book. An arbitrator awarded her $200,000 in damages, $300,000 in attorneys’ fees and about $48,000 in arbitration costs.
Ojani Noa was also ordered not to disclose information about their relationship for personal gain, and to turn over all materials related to the book.
