Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai to Star in Pink Panther 2

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is to star in “The Pink Panther” sequel. The former Miss World will play a detective in the new film. Hollywood actor Steve Martin will play French police Inspector Jacques Clouseau in the upcoming sequel. Actors Andy Garcia, John Cleese and Alfred Molina have also joined the crew of the movie.

“It is true that Aishwarya has signed the film,” Aishwarya Rai’s business manager Harli Singh said. He said she is finishing Hindi films “Akbar-Jodha” and “Sarkar 2″. She will start shooting “The Pink Panther 2″ from September.

Harald Zwart will be directing the film, produced by Robert Simonds and Ira Shuman will be exec producing. “Pink Panther 2” is scheduled to release on February 13, 2009.
