Make sure your cell phone is always fully charged. The light from the cell phone might save your life! A real incident happened in central Argentina. A patient was undergoing an operation in the Policlinico Juan D. Peron, the main hospital in Villa Mercedes, a small city in San Luis province, when The power supply in the hospital was cut off due to a major blackout in the city.
The generator in the hospital malfunctioned during the blackout. The surgeons and anesthetists had to work in the dark. Luckily a family member of the patient got some cell phones together from people in the hallway and took them in to provide light. With the light from the cell phone screens, the operation was completed successfully. Technology and a little creativity can work miracle.
