The car licence plate of the legendary martial arts film star Bruce Lee was sold to a fan of his at an auction in Hong Kong. The bidder also Bruce’s fan, Mr. Wong bided the car licence plate bearing the name “BRUCELEE” for 5,100 US dollars. The auction was held in Hong Kong by transport department.

“When I studied in Britain, I saw that foreigners only knew Bruce Lee and Chairman Mao Zedong,” Mr. Wong said. “Bruce Lee was great and he contributed a lot to China. He has influenced people from a few generations and his influence can still be felt today.”

Bruce Lee died at the age of 32 on July 20, 1973; he was the first Asian action star in Hollywood fame before Jackie Chan and Jet Li and also popularizes martial arts in the West.
