A confectionery store owner was piqued by the Kinder chocolate wrappers left behind in his store every day. Investigations revealed that a squirrel is the stealthy thief. The squirrel comes in every day, heads straight for the Kinder chocolates, carefully removes the foil, eats the chocolate and leaves the store with a little toy that comes with the chocolate. It is tidy, meticulous and particular. It seeks no other chocolates but Kinder. It comes in twice a day for its treat.

Dubbed the ‘chocoholic squirrel’, the chocolate thief is a celebrity of sorts in Jyvaskyla, Finland. If it is ever caught and kept as a pet, the owner must be prepared to stock up on loads of Kinder chocolates. Perhaps the chocolate manufacturer might want to keep it as a company mascot.
