Tiny Faberge Chair Sells for $2.28 Million

This is a rare Faberge miniature chair measured 2¼-inch but sold at huge price tag for $2.28 million at Sotheby’s auction in New York to an unnamed buyer. The presale price was estimated at $1-1.5 million only.

The chair was made of gold and enamel by the Russian jeweler Carl Faberge. This is among the rarest of the artist’s creations and is not often auctioned.
