Another good news for Harry Potter fans. A Harry Potter theme park is set to open in Universal’s Islands of Adventure Theme Park in 2009, for sure, Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry as it appeared in the Harry Potter Movies will be in the park together with the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade village. It was announced by chairman and CEO of Universal Parks and Resorts, Tom Williams.

The theme park will use up about 20 acres that is quarter of the Islands of Adventures. In order to make sure the theme park remains true to the look and feel of the films, Stuart Craig, the Academy-Award winning production designer for the Harry Potter movies is leading creative design on the park. “Our primary goal is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Harry Potter’s world as it is portrayed in the books and films,” Stuart Craig said in a press release.

The Harry Potter book writer JK Rowling will be collaborating with Universal on the park from the beginning and she is very excited about the project.

The Wizarding World will feature rides, shops and restaurants all based on the fictional world of Harry Potter.
