Fifty-six-year-old Bao Xishun, the world’s tallest man and his lover, 28-year-old Xia Shujuan are planning a traditional Mongolian wedding on July 12, 2007. Bao Xishun, registered for marriage in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia with Xia Shujuan on March 26, 2007.

Bao was born in Inner Mongolia in 1951. He is 2.36-meter (7.74 feet) tall and was confirmed by the Guinness Books of Records as the naturally-grown tallest man in the world in 2005.

Xia Shujuan is 1.68-meter tall, two-thirds of Bao’s height. She is saleswoman from Bao’s home city of Chifeng in northern China.

Around 30 tailors completed two wedding dresses for him. One is a traditional Chinese Tangzhuang jacket, and the other is the traditional Mongolian gown.
