baby.jpgA woman can expose her breasts anywhere in New York as long as she is feeding her baby. New York law states that women are allowed to breastfeed in any place “public or private, where the mother is otherwise authorized to be.” If you are embarrassed, discomfited or offended by the sight of exposed tits, you have to remove yourself for the mother has the right of law. Breastfeeding is no indecent exposure.

Fossil Inc. recently agreed to pay a mother of two, Lass King, who was prevented from breastfeeding in its company showroom. King received $3600 and a letter of apology after threatening the company with a lawsuit. She was taken to another floor when she started to breastfeed her 8-month-old son in front of others in August 2006. She was not allowed to return to the showroom after her breastfeeding. As a mother, King claimed that she was deeply humiliated and insulted by the incident.
