Jackie Chan Finds New Action Star In Chinese TV Show

The famous “Super Action Star”, Jackie Chan has launched  a competition at TV show in China aimed at scouting out fresh action film talent.  In addition, got more than 10,000 people have already signed up for a shot at kung fu stardom.

“A lot of actors are good at fighting but the style is not so attractive,”  “if you can incorporate dance with an ability to perform kung fu, that would be better,” said Jackie Chan on Saturday in Beijing.

The TV show, whose English title is The Disciple is jointly produced by Jackie Chan and Beijing TV Station, known as BTV. It will run from March to October, with 10 winners appearing in a movie which will be produced by Jackie Chan. The movie will be released before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Jackie Chan added.
