Will you kill your husband in order to claim insurance and use the money for breast enlargement?

A woman in San Diego was convicted of murdering her husband with arsenic so that she could cash in on his US$250,000 life insurance policy. She had thence used the money for a breast enlargement operation.

The heartless woman, Cynthia Sommer, wanted a more luxurious lifestyle and she couldn’t enjoy the lifestyle that she had with her husband’s US$1,700 salary. After the payment of the insurance policy, the 33-year-old woman enjoyed herself in wild parties and had casual sex with multiple partners.

Sommer’s marine husband, Sergeant Todd Sommer, collapsed and died in 2002. His death was initially ruled as heart attack. However, various tests of his liver revealed that the arsenic level in his liver is 1,020 times above normal.

Can a woman who vowed to love and cherish his husband in health and sickness actually do this to her husband?
